I'm exactly where I thought I'd be: still on planet Earth, orbiting the Sun in the Milky Way galaxy.

Hmmm. Well 10 years ago I was in college, on my 3rd but not final major, and I was still a pretty low self esteem and introverted guy. So I guess I was expecting to be working somewhere, though I hadn't thought about where, doing something with the major I was then taking, and making hopefully good money.

I spend more time at the bar than I would've thought 10 years ago. I was never one to have many friends but in the last few years I've gathered many friends and many more close friends than I would've thought. I am still single but I wouldn't have expected to be. I'm in a better situation monetarily and occupationally than most of my peers and I was admittedly rarely one to be head of the class.

Also 10 years ago I expected Pluto to still be a planet.

I expected that I would be in grad school for some kind of engineering. I'm currently in grad school for electrical/software engineering. I'd say I'm on track.

Financially on-track (making a little more than what I expected), but not in the field I expected. Relationship wise, I assumed I'd probably be married by this point, and I am. I did expect to have a kid or two by now, but still not quite ready yet, thus no child.

In 10 years, I expect to be 100% debt free (no more student loans, mortgage, car, etc), and on slate to retire by 55. I already have a spreadsheet with an action plan. Hopefully, life accomodates my plans.

Almost exactly where I expected to be.

Whether or not that was what I actually wanted is another matter.

just was finishing my freshman year in college, can safely say I had different things on my mind back then. never really thought too much about the future in specifics back then. def had no clue about career & family.

Since 10 years ago:
apartment -> condo
Geo Metro -> Corolla -> Acura TL
rent+college debt -> mortgage debt
thick glasses -> lasik
hair -> less hair
140lb -> 145lb
0 relationship -> 0 relationship

For next 10 years:
condo -> huge mansion
Acura TL -> Lamborghini
mortgage debt -> richer than Bill Gates
less hair -> hair better than Brad Pitt
145lb -> lean and super rip
0 relationship -> Scarlett Johansson + Natalie Portman
(I can dream, can't I?)

After 10 years of marriage, MUCH LESS sex.....too tired.....if I want it, she's tired...and if she wants it, i'm tired......so that's that! :'(
