According to Republicans and right-wing media, they claim the Virginia Board of Education website makes a claim of Critical Race Theory Lense. Where does it show on the website, I can't find it.

Edit:
Did a search and what I found was shocking. It seems the Republicans can read, but not 100% full comprehend what they read. The source they are talking about is on the Virginia Board Of Education website.

Page 22

However, the whole slide deck is about a proposal to fix a problem, not a final decision. Nor did I find any source anywhere where it makes the statement that the proposal was accepted.

In reference to a false claim.....
McAuliffe Makes False Claims About CRT in VA Schools | CNSNews

A Virginia candidate for governor made false claims about critical race theory and its role in the Virginia schools. As a Manhattan Institute researcher notes, "Terry McAuliffe claims that critical race theory has 'never been taught in Virginia [schools].' But in 2015, when he was last governor, his Department of Education instructed public schools to 'embrace critical race theory' in order to 're-engineer attitudes and belief systems.'" Critical race theory is playing a growing role in school systems in northern Virginia, such as in Fairfax, Arlington, and Loudoun Counties.

You might be surprised to find out that Republicans and most conservatives just make things up so they can complain about Democrats.

Nor do they read articles or fact check. Headlines are all they need. Can't tell you how many times I've seen a conservative on this site owned by their own articles they post.

Or they don't have 100% reading comprehension, as you can see in my starting post edit.

Republicans just make up whatever facts they want to make whatever point they want. Haven't you heard about alternative facts?

For the OP:

Conservative Media discovered there are billions to be made by pushing propaganda to people who are already inclined to react negatively to change. The disgusting thing is the people contributing and running these media organizations doing it solely for the love of money. Pretty much all of the most vocal conservative politicians push these same narratives for the same reason and to gain power.

  • Invoice showed district's diversity consultancy billed it for 'follow up meetings focused on Critical Race Theory Development'
  • "I will say probably that there are portions of critical race theory that we may be applying when we give the lens to look at some of our policies."
  • "CRT is not so much an intellectual unit filled with stuff – theories, themes, practices and the like – but one that is dynamically constituted by a series of contestations and convergences pertaining to the ways that racial power is understood and articulated in the post-civil rights era," said law professor Kimberle Crenshaw.
The notion of CRT "being taught" to students is a complete misnomer.
Rather, where is it being indicated that all whites are racist oppressors? Where is curriculum or policy or just an admin or instructor's language supporting such hateful rhetoric?
Public is up in arms claiming it cropped up in various places. But theirs are a ground truth with claims none of us can independently verify or dispute. We are not there. We do not know.

Lot of this boils down to abstract vagaries that are used as policy guidelines and then rebranded as various polices, such as "social equity". Were race becomes a prominent fixture in instruction. Not merely the teaching of history, but teaching it through a lens that itself may instill hate and bias towards others. A divisive tension to reignite past transgressions as fresh wounds.

This boils down to, if you push people they push back. The framing lacks unity and healing.

The people "pushing back" can get fucked. It is entirely a THEM problem, not an US problem.

Healing requires fucking dealing with reality. Denial does not lead to healing. So yeah like dank said they can get fucked. America is in many ways an amazing country, teaching kids about its flaws gives them the awareness necessary to make this an even better country.

@Jaskalas - the people you claim are being pushed are just used to getting to run the show thru lies and dishonesty. Their attack on CRT is just the same old BS. They want to decide everything.

Jesus fuck off with this already. Why is it that liberals are solely responsible for "unity and healing"? When have you ever heard these people call for "unity and healing" from conservatives?

That's neat. Why don't they get to push back after decades, centuries of being pushed? Why is healing all about the white man's feelings?

In other words despite Republicans claiming not only is it NOT taught but name one specific thing kids are being taught you find objectional.

Where the fuck were you when schools were teaching kids Columbus discovered America? Weren't so concerned then were you?

Maybe you can answer the question I asked earlier about the GI bill. It's well known how the middle class was built due to that bill. How would you teach blacks being excluded and it's long term ramifications? Or would you just keep kids ignorant of those things? Where's your so called "pushback" for black people being excluded from the GI bill?
