Where are the plans at healthcare.gov?

I looked a couple of weeks ago, found some plans but did not have the money. Got a payment in, need to buy health insurance, go to healthcare.gov, trying every option I see.

One page is telling me the open enrollment starts November 1.

Another page is telling me I have to send in all kinds of information to prove that I had a life changing event.

I was on healthcare.gov maybe 10 - 14 days ago and found all kinds of plans. Now I can not find them.

Firefox and internet explorer, the site logs me out when I click the home page.

This is supposed to be the great thing obama did? This is supposed to be his legacy? The page does not even let me see plans or buy coverage.

Tell me again why the affordable care act is go great when I can not even find plans?

UPDATE

Called local assistance. The nice lady said since it was more than 60 days since I had a life changing event, I no longer qualified for plans. I have to wait until open enrollment.

Open enrollment starts November 1. I enroll then.

Coverage does not kick in until January.

What am I suppose do to from now until January?

History

I quit my job July 3rd. Had enough money in savings to pay my bills for a couple of months, but not did not expect to be out of work long so I did not buy health insurance.

My fault I waited more than 60 days, but I did not know there was a time limit.

Got a side job making some money, able to pay $250 - $270 a month that I saw on healthcare.gov a few weeks ago.

Have to now wait until open enrollment and insurance is supposed to start in January.

Democrats defend this

Where is the affordable health insurance we were promised?

This is neither politics or news, but you knew that.

I disagree with how Obamacare was implemented and some of the design choices made in setting it up, but one thing it did do well was having "navigators" who can help you explore the options. I presume these roles still exist and I would seek one out to get the assistance you need. Good luck.

I don't think you could act like a bigger #whinylittlebitch if you tried.

Why don't you take your incompetent ass and post this non news or political topic in the right forum!

whiny incompetent one at that. I went to the site, entered fake data and was able to see the pricing for 2016 quite easily. 2017 won't post until enrollment opens.

Oh, and I'm in another country!

Did you know that you can still call health insurance companies directly? Or that you can use their websites? The government's website is just one of many ways you can get the same insurance.

Oh and, last I looked, it is before November 1st (or after Jan 31st which was the last deadline).

Thanks for not being an asshole like most of the other posters in the thread. And OP, try the resources at this link: https://localhelp.healthcare.gov/#intro

Get coverage - state - zip code - start a 2016 marketplace application - create account - log in - start new application - see coverage options - continue enrollment - then the page stops. There is no way for me to progress.

Another page says if I do not act within 3 months I could lose coverage through the market place. I do not have coverage to start with.

Another page says I have to send in all kinds of paperwork, like W2s and income tax copies.

Except for the fact that the OP is neither news nor politics. He posted it in the wrong forum.

I feel this is realated to politics.

Democrats like to brag how the affordable care act helps people, so where is my help?

All you bleeding heart liberals should have no problem with someone asking for help with obamas cornerstone achievements.

Not a Navigator or Obamacare expert but I'm pretty sure the enrollment window for 2016 has closed. As would somewhat be expected since we're almost done with 2016 (80% done with calendar year and completely done if talking about government fiscal 2016).

No, I did not know that.

The affordable health care act is supposed to be obamas crowing achievement. So where is the healthcare the voters were promised?

I sure can not find my coverage.

What am i supposed to do for the next 2 weeks?

Democrats are quick to brag about the affordable care act, so where is my affordable healthcare?

I am out of a job and just want to get some health insurance.

Obamacare was a great idea, but poorly executed due to insurance company interests.

To do it right it would have to be like Canada, problem is that would kill a whole industry, and that would also mean lot of people getting laid off, so it's something that would be hard to do, but it probably has to be done.

I'm dumbfounded at the idea of even having to worry about finances if I need medical care. Thankfully we have a decent system here. It could be better though, I feel medications should be included to, and dental and eye care.

With the high costs you guys pay for insurance I would not be able to afford it either and I actually make over 70k. I imagine most people that have average/lower paying jobs definitely have trouble affording it too.

You would do well to, as suggested, seek the aid of a navigator.

BTW, the thing about enrollment periods is that they existed before the ACA.

What you FEEL it is and what it REALLY is are two totally different things. It's not news and it's not politics. Enjoy your reassignment.

What makes you think you wouldn't be able to afford it? If you're working for a company that pays you $70k, odds are they'd be covering at least part of it, and you'd likely be paying between $30-150 per pay period.

The funny thing is that the OP probably disparaged Obamacare plans up until the point where he realized it's valuable to him. :D

In case you missed it, people here are saying:
Plans & prices for 2017 will be available shortly before Open Enrollment starts.

you had the exact same enrollment period for your healthcare when you had a job. What does this have to do with the ACA?
