I think it would be sweet to have an LPG Crown Vic. I know they exist as fleet vehicles, and not uncommonly: they're not hard to spot in the city at airports, etc. Why don't they show up on the used market? I can't seem to find 'em anywhere!

...move to Europe?

I've never even heard of an LPG car in the US, let alone actually encountered one.

(also the phrase 'liquid petroleum gas' makes me want to smack someone upside their fucking face. IT'S CALLED PROPANE, YOU EUROTARD. IT'S ALWAYS STORED AS A LIQUID.)

There are quite a few LPG fleets here. Every Schwan's delivery truck runs on LPG, as well as plenty of taxi fleets.

It's called liquified petroleum gas because it's not propane alone. It's a mixture of of propane and butane. Calling it propane would be inaccuarate.

Probably because the propane delivery/refueling infrastructure is far more developed than natural gas.

Why don't they use natural gas? It's cleaner burning than propane despite what Hank Hill says

T Boone Pickens has been behind this for some time. Even did a TED Talk about it. It's cheap and plentiful, a bridge technology he put it before electric and hydrogen become practical.

A lot of taxis here are propane or natural gas. Most cars can be converted with minor modification but AFAIK, you can't just buy a CNG car. Not here in Canada anyway. Honda does make a Civic for the US market. It has 110hp engine, which is slightly less than the seventh gen vanilla Civics. Starts at $26k.
