Those damn Russians.... they simply do not want any good in this world. Because of the failed Hillary campaign (no thanks to the Russian hacking of the elections)... Hillary and Bill no longer have much position to offer favors and access in exchange for donations.

When the Clintons left the White House in 2000, they were destitute and did not even know where their next meal was coming from. But they were strong and somehow managed to scrape by on their way to having their net worth climb to almost Romney levels. All the while never forgetting the little people who got them there.

I did not like Hillary's politics... with her being under the thumb of George Soros she was way too much of a globalist for my tastes. But I take no pleasure in the Clinton Foundation beginning to show its cracks. Haiti is still struggling even though its been almost 7 years since the earthquake disaster. From what I hear the Clinton Foundation went above and beyond in their effort to help the Haitians. One can say the whole Clinton Foundation involvement was scandal free..... much like the Obama presidency (based on Washinton Post headlines). A damn shame I tell you.

Is the Clinton Foundation closing or just the Clinton Global Initiative? I thought post-election only CGI was getting scaled back... Clinton Foundation will still be doing their thing.

The moment she lost the election and everyone realized the bribing / buying of influence through the CGI and CF was done, just about every one of the donations vanished. Not surprising in the least.

This article dated October 04, 2016 at 2:40 PM would indicate this literally has nothing to do with her losing the election.
The Clinton Foundation will lay off 74 employees at its Clinton Global Initiative office in New York City at the end of the year, according to a notice filed with the state.

The notice, required under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN Act), said the 74 employees at the initiative's offices on the 42nd floor at 1271 Avenue of the Americas will be laid off on Dec. 31.

The notice cites the foundation's plan to discontinue the initiative, which was started by former President Bill Clinton in 2005 to convene "global leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to the world's most pressing challenges."

Dec. 31? That's a nice New Year's gift for those employees.

But if Trump did the same thing it would be because of some tax law or filing that would cost tons of money and we'd all understand and say Trump is a business Genius. That's why its 12/31/2016.

It's only the Clinton Global Initiative that is closing, and they were planning to close that anyway in preparation for her ascension. Unless it's changed since it was un-spun off, the CGI doesn't actually take donations, it merely tells big donors where to donate to other charities. Now that the Clintons have near-zero political influence the Initiative has little to recommend it and it doesn't fill the Clinton Foundation coffers*, so it would have been cut anyway. (*Although admittedly, the Clintons personally have received millions from serving on boards and as advisers for the charities receiving the donations.)

And if memory serves, the charity that actually most funded programs in Haiti was the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, a separate foundation set up just for Haiti and funded largely with separate, targeted donations. Although I believe the Clinton Foundation is still involved in lobbying and in establishing government schools in Haiti, but I might be remembering that wrong.

True. I did not realize that there was no longer a need for charitable work on November 9th.
They mostly operated with name as brand (like Trump, in fact), so having that name largely destroyed for over a year maybe didn't leave as many opportunities for their work as might have existed otherwise... but that's entirely speculation on my part.

It proves what we've said all along: The Clinton Foundation was little more than an influence-peddling scheme to enrich the Clintons, and had little if anything to do with "charity," either overseas or in the U.S. That sound you heard starting in November was checkbooks being snapped shut in offices around the world by people who had hoped their donations would buy access to the next president of the United States.

And why not? There was a strong precedent for it in Hillary Clinton's tenure as secretary of state. While serving as the nation's top diplomat, the Clinton Foundation took money from at least seven foreign governments — a clear breach of Clinton's pledge on taking office that there would be total separation between her duties and the foundation.

Is there a smoking gun? Well, of the 154 private interests who either officially met or had scheduled phone talks with Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state, at least 85 were donors to the Clinton Foundation or one of its programs.

In November, we asked the question: "Is The Clinton Foundation Doomed?" The answer is yes.

All the way back in May, we outlined how the Clinton Foundation had taken in $100 million from a collection of Gulf sheikhs and billionaires, along with millions from private businesses, who expected — and received — special access to the State Department's top official, Hillary.

In his 2015 book "Clinton Cash," author Peter Schweizer showed how during Hillary's years in government "the Clintons have conducted or facilitated hundreds of large transactions (either as private citizens or government officials) with foreign governments, corporations and private financiers." He called the sums going to the Clintons "staggering."

Using the Freedom of Information Act, Judicial Watch in August obtained emails (that had been hidden from investigators) showing that Clinton's top State Department aide, Huma Abedin, had given "special expedited access to the secretary of state" for those who gave $25,000 to $10 million to the Clinton Foundation. Many of those were facilitated by a former executive of the foundation, Doug Band, who headed Teneo, a shell company that managed the Clintons' affairs.

As part of this elaborate arrangement, Abedin was given special permission to work for the State Department, the Clinton Foundation and Teneo — another very clear conflict of interest.

As Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said at the time, "These new emails confirm that Hillary Clinton abused her office by selling favors to Clinton Foundation donors."

It's frustrating when people obviously haven't had enough geometry to know what's required for a proof.

Post-truth, Baby! Even the simplest of facts, like chronology, don't matter in the slightest. They believe that the Clinton Foundation is a giant influence peddling conspiracy (Oh God! Conspiracy!) & will accept any line of bullshit that tends to support the notion.

Yep- the closing of CGI was announced in October because Hillary lost the election in November. They jes' know it.

When it's imperative to not bring up the Trump Foundation and current ongoing Strongman Trump investments that may bring about inherent conflicts of interest, the Clinton Foundation should be brought up because as Strongman Trump proved, distractions work.

Congrats on that.

Even if she doesn't there's the small matter that the CF is a top rated international charity that does good work.

Which apparently matters not at all in the post-truth reality distortion field of Trumpistan.
