It's rumored that Fry's also has lots of Conroes in stock.
I'm sure Newegg also has a bunch of them but they've avoided going the pre-order route.
The floodgates officially open on 8/7 when Intel lifts the shipment embargo. They did it to provide time to "prime" the channel and get everyone at the "starting gate" at the same time.
Monday will be interesting!!

e6300, e6400, e6600, e6700, and x6800 are all in stock. e6400 is only $249, which is only $25 over msrp, which i don't think is all that bad considering most other places are asking $279. They weren't supposed to ship till the 7th, but they started shipping early - mine is en route to my apartment right now.

Your best bet with NewEgg is to start checking on the 7th in the monring and keep checking throughout the day.
I plan on using my second monitor at work for that sole purpose. I will have Firefox refreshing a serach for "E6600" every 30 seconds. And as soon as I see it pop up I am buying it ASAP.

Has anyone found the new Conroe processors in stock at any on-line retailers? I just checked NewEgg and they're still not even listed on the site.

You get more for your money with Nvidia. I imagine that a lot of people will be bailing on the Intel chipsets come the end of the month.
