Where are the color management controls in windows xp?

one of my two monitors has a slight pink tint that needs to be corrected and I can't fing the control panels for it. Suggestions? thanks

You didn't say so, but it sounds like you are using a dual monitor setup. If so, and the problem remains with the same monitor when you exchange outputs, you need to adjust that monitor's controls, not the software. The same is true if you are using a single output video card and just connecting each monitor.

If you can't bring the pinkish one into adjustment when the other one is set relatively close to default settings, your monitor has problems.

If you are using a video distribution/switching box, that could also cause some problems.

there's no doubt in my mind that there's something wrong with the monitor, but it's nothing that software shouldn't be able to correct... wouldn't it be possible to adjust the colors of each output individually?

Yes, if the pinkish one is within the range of color adjustment, but it means you'd have to readjust the settings every time you changed monitors. If the monitor can be adjusted, resetting the software every time sounds like a hair raising PITA.

First, check to see if the color temp and settings for the pinkish somehow got changed. I have seen this happen in some monitors for no apparent reason.

The color management adjustments should be in the video settings for your software. From the desktop, move the cursor so it's not over any icon, right click, and select Properties, Settings, Advanced. The amound of color adjustment you can do is determined by the software and drivers for your vid card. It may give you the option of more than one preset profile so you can switch between them.
