Why have there been practically no reviews of AGP Opteron boards?? Amdzone and another site did come out with an Asus SK8N review a couple weeks back, but that has been pretty much it. Why hasn't Anand or Toms reviewed this board. And even a bigger question, what about the Arima HD AMB Duel Opteron board?? The Arima board has been in stock since mid-late June at monarchcomputers. And the SK8N is also in stock now. http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=M&Category_Code=OMB
So why the lack of reviews? Often times Anand and other hardware sites review boards before they are available. And needless to say there are alot of people really wanting to see what these systems will do. The only thing that can come to mind is that AMD doesn't want anyone to get the idea of using the Opteron as a gaming/enthusiest cpu and has "asked" the hardware sites to avoid reviewing them. They wouldn't want to tarnish its reputation as a server cpu. If this is the case, I am disgusted by AMD taking such an approach, and by review sites going along with it. Please, bring on the reviews!

How many boards are being offered to the price conscious consumer?

AMD doesn't care what you use the processor for. In the server field AGP is unnecessary. That is probably why you see so little in the way of AGP opteron boards.

Plus everything is so new that kinks need to be worked out. The best choice is to wait patiently until say late fall and you should see this market pick up and a slew of choices for MBs appear.
