I have been trying to find one of the new Pentium D D0 steppings, but I haven't found anyplace that is listing the D0 stepping. Has anyone seen them in stock anywhere?

Why would anyone even want one ? The X2 is almost the same price, faster and cooler, and the C2D is only a little more, and faster and cooler.

Usually advertisers do not list specific steppings, as it takes too much time/money to sort all that stuff out and the demand is usually minimal.

If you want one bad, go to a local store that you know has good prices (and thus depletes their existing stock fast) and lock for them on the retail box or OEM cpu's itself.

Some people dont want to be bothered changing a system for X2 or C2D. Drop in solution for a Pentium-D 945 is a pretty nice solution for many people. I bet the D0 runs cooler still, compared to C and B steppings.

I was looking for an update on this topic. Has anyone seen ANY d0 steppings for the Pentium D 960. I found a d0 945 over at zippzoomfly, but their 960 was still the older c1 stepping. I have browsed a few other sights including insight and cdw, but it appears all they have is the older stepping as well. :(
