Where are BFG's Fermi cards?

What is the deal with BFG not selling the Fermi cards? Over the years, I have been a loyal BFG user of 6800, 8800 and 9800 boards. But there are no 4XX boards for sale yet? I called BFG about my 9800GTX+1GB and subsequently asked the TechRep about the 400 series cards and she said she did not know anything.

Anyone know what is going on with BFG and the Fermi boards?

BFG is in a world of hurt right now, word is that they may be folding up. Plus, there's the whole issue with Fermi being difficult to work with and NV playing favorites with who gets them. XFX didn't want to deal with them, and I can't blame them.

Where are BFG cards period? You can hardly find anything outside 9800GTs and massively overpriced GTX200 cards.

Yeah, MicroCenter has a plethora of BFG GTX275s. Probably be able to get them for BOGO Free soon.

Bummer about BFG being in a world of hurt. I have always been impressed with their cards and service. I also heard that BFG might move to make both ATI and nVidia cards.

Nvidia EOLed the GTX200 cards, that's why the prices are high. They didn't want to get into a price war with ATI again.

As already stated Nvidia is playing favorites with FERMI cards. So BFG it getting hit hard, they also have limited products for sale.

If BFG doesn't go red like XFX they're probably going to fold.

I saw the ref boards listed on the BFG website, but that is it. For a month or so now, I have tried to access the BFG Store, but it is inaccessible. I guess when you start to put the pieces of the puzzle together, the outlook is grim for BFG. I sincerely hope I am wrong.

Call them and ask them.

They will tell you they will be avalable in June with the launch of the gtx 460,gts 450,440, and 430.

Anyone in Chicago area want to swing by and check out their address? Maybe they just have a case of 3DRealms disease.

I'm so glad I didn't buy a nvidia card this time around. All this disabling physics and fermi delays all the while having nvidia pr blow smoke up our asses turned me off completely. Now it looks like it's starving off one of the better companies in bfg.

I thought I read somewhere that AMD declined to allow BFG to make cards for them (could be wrong on that though). AMD already has a lot of partners.

one rumor was that they had to shut down their EU operations in order to get the US mfg rights from AMD. to avoid competing with AMD vendors in europe.

it would be silly for AMD not to partner up with BFG, most people here would buy a cypress card from BFG in a heartbeat just because the other red team vendors dont have anything near their track record for service and general reputation.

Glad it worked for you.......BFG still owes me a power supply from last year. Essentially took a ps of mine I sent in for trade up and kept it, refusing to return it after I finally got them to acknowledge that they had it after 3 months of phone calls and emails.

I sent in a GS-550 to trade up to a much larger unit. Website states a few days to a week after receiving it to get "code" for their store to apply old ps retail price to new one.

Well, a month goes by with the ps as received and pending. Email.....never answered. Call.....get transferred twice then hung up on. Call again, same happens.

Then, my Chron's kicks up and in hospital I go for two weeks. Get out and last thing on my mind is the power supply.....my $3500 hospital/doctor bill is, though. (After ins., btw.)

2 1/2 months have now elapsed. Remember it's still unresolved.....email again, twice. Both ignored, never returned.

Call and same scenario happens....CSR, transfer, another person, get put on hold while "we check", phone gets picked up and hung up. Three calls later over four days, I give up.

Finally talk with someone I really didn't want to bother about it. I now just wanted my power supply I sent in back....really didn't want to spend the money now on a big power supply. Situations change and things happen.

Get a guy from BFG to finally email me. Says he cannot return my ps.....I have to buy a new one and since they only have the 1200W unit in stock (I'd wanted the 950W or 1000W), I have to buy that one....and I have 5 days to do it.

Well, suffice it to say I couldn't really afford it (was making $500 payments to the hospital every two weeks, and between house payment, living expenses, etc., the ps was just too costly), so BFG got a 2 week old power supply to "refurbish" and resell at no cost to them.

Lucky them, I guess. Sorta sucks, but right now I have no love lost for BFG and their situation. I was there months ago and got no consideration from them.....guess what goes around comes around.

Wow...sorry to hear that. Have you tried contacting Zap on these forums? He works for BFG.

For a while we had a BFG GTX 260 rev C card on sale at frys for $169. Its back to $209 now though. Was tempted to grab it at that price, but I just got an xfx 5870 instead. Had to order it from tiger though, and they were out of the vanilla, so I got the xxx version instead for about 20 bucks more. Still like the best deal anywhere for a reference 5870.

I think it would be awesome if BFG went red as well. :D

Wow that blows.... Sorry about the PS and the crazy hospital bills. The wife delivered triplets in December and our total bill including 3 months in NICU for the kids was over 1M dollars. After insurance it amounted to about 19K...

There are people on AT forums that work for BFG (not BFG10K, incidentally), but if their company is going under I doubt they want to talk about it. It seemed like a great place to work from everything I've ever heard.

Yeah, those were listed in BFG's site as soon as the NDA for Fermi lifted. They've never had any for sale AFAIK.

I'm in the market for a new PSU, and since Johnny Guru worked for them I would love to have a BFG PSU. Too bad it is Best Buy that has the clearance, since I won't touch that store with a ten foot pole.
