Where are all the Unreal Tournament 2004 Servers?

I wanted to play some good Assault, but when I went to play UT2004, only 32 servers with high pings showed up. The only filters that are enabled are no bots, not passward and no empty servers. I also opened up ports 7777-7779, and 27902 on my router. Are there any other reasons why I can't seem to find a lot of UT2004 servers?

At any given time, filtered by Onslaught, at least half of the 600-800 servers UT retrieves are empty.

Since Assualt is less popular than ONS (check stats at GameSpy.com), I'm guessing it's the no empty filter that's knocking out all the other servers.

Try finding a Last Man Standing or Mutant server :frown:

ONS is king with Assault and CTF a very distant 2nd and 3rd.

Try playing Red Orchestra.
Max of 8 servers and only about 4 have low pings at any time
Still, it's more fun that AS or ONS or any other UT2k4 game type

AS with no filters set, and the checkbox off for "standard servers only", u should get around 140 max servers, empty or otherwise. its normal.

I was hoping that there would be a greater variety of UT2004 servers. As much as I like onslaught, I like UT2004 for the variety of game modes.

I've played UT IG CTF since early 2000, and sadly for me, OGL has about 11 clans on the ladder, the other NA ladders also seem quite dead, and there are maybe 3 active servers at peak times for me (EST time zone). I will again one day install and try out Onslaught, but I've never gotten into what we call "normal weapons". For me, UT is dead
