Where are all the Thermalright Ultra-120's at?!?!?

I REALLY need to find one of these like NOW but can't. I've searched deep into the bowels of the Internet and came up with nothing. Everbody's sold out. Also, they're all saying beginning to mid-November!

The ONLY place I found one is eBay and that Jerkoff wants $100 shipped for one. I'm desperate, but not that desperate.

Please help!

That pre-order date is not accurate - it keeps getting bumped. I don't want to pre-order - I need this things ASAP - like today. Thanks anyway.

NO PREORDER.

I bought them all and am selling them on ebay. Well, you can always go buy a Scythe Infinity like everybody else and wait for it to fall off. It's a pretty value considering you get a free fan for about the same price as a Ultra-120 which doesn't come w/ a fan.

everyone is buying Ultra120s because they are the best air cooler in production.

before you all come here and spew on about the Tuniq 120...it is NOT currently in production and probably won't ever be from the way it seems. Thus, the Ultra-120 is the best currently in production. This is why it can't be found.

I had to my Ultra here because I couldn't use it on my board with the chipset cooler in place. I am sticking with a Ninja for now.

So does anyone know if Thermalright stopped manufacturing this product or is it that they can't keep up with demand?

The latter. Ultra-120 is their flagship HSF, they just came make them fast enough to meet the demand. Like someone said earlier, the Tuniq Tower is out of production so everybody flocked to the Ultra-120.

There's a lesson here!

Q: What do the Tuniq Tower 120 and the Thermalright Ultra-120 have in common?

A: High fin density!

Quiz: What should you look for in a GREAT HSF?

A) High fin density.

B) Low fin density.

That is debatable. If you are running Passive than the Ultra120 or the Tuniq will not be fit for you, ofcourse the Tuniq already has a fan built in but if it were turned off it wouldn't work as good. High fin density means more obsrtuction for air to clear. So while these heatisnks pound other lower fin density HSF's in normal operation, they get trumped in the passive operation department. I also could not try the Ultra because it did not fit my mobo with the chipset cooler in place.

LoL! Yes... period -- end of discussion.

These are NOT passive coolers -- exclamation point! 🙂

I purchased mine from Heatsink Factory, either try contacting them or check daily. I checked at 3am before bed and they had some up by 10am the next day, someone from these boards was kind enough to point it out. It fit into my Lian Li PC-60APLUSII case, just be sure to have your motherboard in the case before attempting to attach it.

Definitely not passive, but the Ultra performs quite nicely with a low speed fan

Thanks just ordered one. They are in Irvine, I'm in San Diego but they didn't charge tax. Weird but cool for me. ANd the cheapest shipping will get here next day.

EDIT: Has anyone tried this with two fans instead of one?

My guess is having a second fan would slow it down more than speed it up. I have it so the 120mm fan is blowing air through the heatsink to the rear exhaust fan and I think anything in its way would only hinder its air flow. One fan blowing should be enough for cooling in my opinion.
