you know what they say, if you haven't been to a social party that involves alcohol and people of both sexes, then most likely, you aren't popular. so when's the last time you been to one of those? assuming if you have 🙄

What about us old, married folks who have get-togethers with friends...but aren't otherwise "social parties" of the type mentioned?

There's usually alcohol and people of both sexes...

The big question is if you are including parties of relatives--usually associated with holidays or birthdays.

If not, a couple decades or so.

It's been since my birthday in March.
Party: Check
Alcohol: Check
Both Sexes: Of course. (I invited a guy and he came to my party that night with a bottle of wine as a gift. )

few weeks. party to celebrate end of semester (and graduation) for the folks in the MSc stats program. we drank, ate food, and played cards against humanity.

This really depends. If you mean like massive house parties, well maybe not since i was in high school. If you mean gatherings (like a BBQ, wine, good food etc.) then about once month.

Not as easy to go to these types of things once one get kids and settled down, but we try our best to get out and about when we can.

I never really felt more "popular" by being invited though, but maybe i never thought about it 😕

We haven't even been on a first date yet. You've gotta at least buy a gir *ahem* a guy a beer first. :whiste:

Don't worry, Dr.Pizza has seen it, though, he can vouch for it's size. 😉

You know what they say ... it's not a party if you're working.

We used to host an annual New Year's Eve party but haven't for a couple of years now. Otherwise, the last "social party" (as opposed to an "unsocial party"?) I attended was in late April.
