Whenever i close a program i get the Application Error

The instruction at "0x0301026d5" referenced memory at "0x00000000" The memory could not be "read".

what's this mean, something wrong with my ram or hd?
 
Run Scandisk, Norton Windoctor, Ad-Aware, and Spybot Search & Destroy in that order.

If your problems persist, you may have a hosed OS or hardware problem.

This happens a lot on software that is not written for w2k or XP but was wrote/started out on 98.

What software is it that you are running?
 
myie2, aim, those ar ethe two programs it happens most with, i mean it's not really a pain in the ass, but i'm scared that if i don't call attention to this now my whole system might suffer.
