when ever I try to set teh system page file, I click set, and then when I click OK, the system just reboots, and the page file is the same

I DONT mean that it tells me it needs to be rebooted.. its like I hit the reset button or something

what are you setting the min and max to? maybe you're going to low and it restarts for your safety.

Why not just leave the page file alone?

Win2k/XP are very good at managing their own memory, unlike Win9x.....

2GB?!? Sheesh...I won't even ask why you want to have such a large pagefile.... That's just CRAZY talk....

You don't need to do this in 2k/XP. The page file works differently in 2k/XP than it does in 9x. The page file will start to grow once you go past the MIN set size, it will continue to grow until it hits the MAX set size. Once it has grown it will not shrink again until you reboot your system, upon which it will begin again at the MIN set size.
