When you guys use "lol" in a chat or e-mail or message, etc, do you actually laugh out loud? I was wondering if some people actually only use that when they do laugh out loud, or if some people just use lol for filler space, etc, anything but laughing out loud.

general usage of myself and most of my friends 🙂

lol = doesn't even have to be something funny...just a general expression of tone, if a statement could be misinterpreted more seriously than what I mean I'll stick a 'lol' in there.

LOL = really funny...usually actually laughing, although I rarely use this...usually just type "hahaha" (or longer, depending on how funny)
