If they're crawling around near my working area or on the floor, I freeze-kill them with inverted "canned air" :D

LOL. Even I'm not that bad. By the way, extreme fear of spider is called arachnophobia.

I hate spiders, and kill them whenever I can (in the house). The worst is when you're minding your own business and one drops down from the ceiling right in front of you. Ick!

Sometimes, if I'm in the middle of doing something, I'll just smash the little guy against the wall and leave him there for hours/days. Bugs my g/f to no end... (but she does things that annoy me, so we're even :) )

Edit: By the way, have you ever tried spraying them with hairspray instead of Raid? Try it sometime... :D

You stain the wall when you smash insect against them and anyone who values their home would rather not do it.

Spiders are the only thing on this wolrd that i fear. I kill them as soon as I see them. but I usualy do it with something that will put as much distance between myself in them while doing so. I have a semi irational fear of being bitten by them. I rember doing trainin in North Carolina which is probably the buggiest place on earth. At night in my fox hole the spiders would bite me and I would have swollen painful bites the next day. Oh the horror! i'd rather have someone shooting at me.

I have always been afraid of spiders. Second place are centipedes. most other bugs I am either indiferent to, or slightly disgusted by, but not afraid of.

I once saw a huge spider in a cornfield that almost made me freeze in terror, but i summoned the courage to run.

I get ants, lady bugs, and moths in here all the time, but I only kill the spiders.

I dont like that term, because I am not afraid of scorpions or ticks. just spiders.

I have a special jar that I use to catch them and take them outside with. I don't want to be squished by a huge superadvanced alien so I don't do it to spiders.

I'll counter this question with another one...

When you see kittens, do you kill them?

I leave daddy long legs alone too. they dont look threatening at all and seem to mind their buisness. Ive heard they can bite, but I cant seem to figure out how. They dont look very spider like.

I've been testing how strong their legs are by dropping shoes on them. The result is not that impressive thus far.

I only kill them if they're dangerous to me or my children... my mom's house in AR is infested with recluses and Scorpions in the late fall and spring... so killing them there is kind of life or death (for my 92 year old grandma at least... it wouldn't be fun for me to get bitten either I'm assured). I've heard it's bad luck to kill the builder's in your house...

No I don't kill ANY bugs or anything else for that matter.

The only exception is if they (BUGS) are attacking or otherwise becoming a threat to ME...

Death to all Arachnids!!!!!!

I don't like 'em one bit. Except for Daddy Long Legs, I'll kill every spider I see.

Weird Spider story

I go into the bathroom one day and there's this freaky looking black spider on the floor. No problem, I go get the Black Flag and give it a good spray. After spraying the spider for 3-4 seconds, I stop to watch it die, but to my shock and freaking out, the spider starts running towards me as fast as it could. I immediately begin spraying it again and the force of the spray pushes the spider about a metre across the floor. I stop, it starts running at me again!! This time I'm totally pissed cussing out the pretentious bastard and spray him until it sat there in a puddle of Black Flag which kept it stuck while it's life slowly slipped away. Yea, I'm the man!!!! :D
