What shipping plan do they need to take into account?

Do they add in whatever next day is or 2 days or what?

Thanks

Here's another question: when doing a pricematch with another site, do you have to get a live person on the phone, direct them to the site/item or is there a way to do this via the Staples "shopping cart" during the whole checkout procedure. I'd like to PM the Samsung 955DF monitor (thread here) as EMS looks pretty dodgy, but have never PM'd an item with Staples before. Could someone enlighten me?

Fausto1:

If you want to pricematch via online, just get onto staples.com and click on live customer service chat. When a csr appears, give him/her the link for the product you?re interested in and the phone number to the store (the csr needs to check product availability). Many times the csr will try to add next day shipping unless the product is coming from their Ingram Micro (supplier). If you?re lucky, they will only add a $5 shipping charge or maybe nothing at all?.and that?s if you?re lucky. When the pricematch is approved, then give the csr an online coupon. Some will refuse a pricematch and a coupon. If that happens and you want to invest more time, you need to call via phone and get a different, perhaps nicer csr. This entire process is about 10-25 minutes.

I typically prefer pricematching at a physical staples store for several reasons:
1) I get the product immediately
2) They usually allow pricematching and coupon use at the same time
3) No worries about product damage during shipping
4) Many will not add the extra $5 shipping charge
5) Sometimes online orders will be cancelled and you will not be notified. Dead deal.

Online and phone pricematches can be aggravating (long waits for proper approval). When you go to a store and see them in person, they will more likely say yes to get you out of their store. It?s a novelty when a girl comes in a pricematches a tech item, so try to get your wife to do it. They?ll most likely not give her any problems at all. <----I can personally vouch for this :) )

I believe you can request an adjustment up to 14 or 30 days after the date of purchase.

If you bought at your local Staples B&M bring in your sales receipt and your cc if you paid with cc.

If you bought at Staples.com consult their extensive FAQ or call them at 1-800-3-STAPLE make sure to have your customer or order number ready.

Rawk! Thanks for the info guys! :) The wife needs a new monitor (so she'll stop using mine, dammit) and the DF fits the bill pretty well since she's not a gamer at all.

Fausto1 - PM'ing at a B&M store is usually less of a hassle although you do have to drive there. 9/10 times it's more hassle than it's worth calling them up, waiting on hold with these small stores no one has ever heard of, etc etc.

Price adjustment is 14 days, not 30 after purchase. It's only good on non-rebate(d) items and coupon codes are taken into consideration before the 100% price match.

Thanks, that seems to be the consensus. My wife (since this is going to be her monitor) is going to hit one of the local Staples on the way home to do the PM thing. I had her print out all the documentation with prices/availability/shipping info from EMS' website, is that pretty much all she'll need to show them?
