are there ever times that you are afraid someone calls you to let you know someone just died?

Every time my parents call me, I am fearful to hear that it is because one of them died.

are either of your parents terminally ill? If not, do yourself a favor, and stop living in fear of that day.

No. Unless your 70 years old and your peers are dropping like flies, you really shouldn't have this fear.

It started when my sister's fiancee unexpectedly died. No one ever expected him to die when he was healthy like that (and only 30)

Your parents are going to die some day. Don't worry about it, unless you have Godlike delusions there is nothing you can do about it.

Do you realize
That everyone you know someday will die?
And instead of saying all of your good-byes
Let them know you realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Ok here's my two cents.

Growing up, I've had 9 close friends die before I hit the age of 19. Not including family, etc. After about 5 I finally realized it's a given. People die.

You'll eventually learn that it's life. Everyone dies, you will die, your dog, your TV, your car, etc.

Learn to accept it.

I don't mean you have to be a goth, or get depressed etc. Just remember it's life. There isn't one living thing in the entire history of our world and time that hasn't had to deal with death and then die itself.

I will, you will, Ashlee Simpson will, and everyone else.

Relax, drink a beer, and watch Family Guy. We've all been there. It's no biggie. It's life.

I've only had that feeling once, and it had turned out that call was to let my family know that my mother's aunt had passed away. It was weird.

The one time I got a call saying a relative died, I somehow knew what the call was before I answered it.

If it's at night yes, always. Simply there is no reason to call me at 3:00 unless something terrible happened.

No, but I worry that after big arguments, if my parents go out, they'll get in a car accident or something and I'll feel like such an ass.
