ditto. I usually delete it also.

I also do the delete, but the first time I hear the glitch....I jump almost outta my skin.

I mean startles you.

If you get startled by glitches in mp3s, you have some problems.

Maybe, but I have them quite loud, then it screeches for a second and jump.

I want to disembowel the ripper. Of course, all my MP3s were ripped legitimately by myself, and I don't accept less than flawless, so this situation doesn't happen often.

I rip to lossless FLAC from my own CDs with Exact Audio Copy, then transcode to MP3 as LAME 192 kbps -extreme for my Zen Xtra.

So I never hear glitches, or the craptastic 128kbps CBR Xing audio you endure even when it isn't glitching. Your warez is free, but the lousy sound is almost punishment enough.

You like Xing-encoded 128 kbps CBR ripped with MusicMatch Jukebox 1.0!? :p

...though I suppose on cheap -tick- headphones it's as good as -tick- FM radio with bad reception. -tick-

No; it makes me find the album and rip it again, to FLAC (edit: with EAC's secure mode, of course, and the proper sample offset). But even so, how often do these glitches occur? I have not encountered one since back when Xing was the encoder to have.
