No I never liked that game at all, that's actually the game that made me start to hate RPG's because from then on they had too much fluff. I could start a summon, go make a grilled cheese sandwich, let it digest then take a shlt, go watch the LOTR trilogy, and come back and the move would still be going on.

On a side note, the music in Ninety Nine Nights is pretty baddass 🙂

You got beef with the 48 minute long Knights of the Round summon? 😉

Nah, it's only when you have the other 2 characters mimic it as well. 😉

I just saw the introduction video for the first time, and I just have to give a big WTF to anyone who tears up over it...

Not the introduction vid, the introduction song, which if you've played the game, the opening song is quite fitting to encompass all the sadness, happiness, love, and sorrow the characters in the game display.

I had a craving for it so I bought it off someone from AT and haven't put it down since. It's so addicting and probably has one of the most epic plots of any game ever.

FF7 is amazing-end of story, and I would argue it might be the best video game I have ever played- single player at least, and it is definitely the best RPG I have ever played.

Eh, Planescape: Torment kicks the crap out of the FF series, as well as the Fallout games. But mostly Torment. I'm replaying it for the 20th time today, but this is the first time where I've ever decided to play Chaotic Evil instead of goody-two shoes (normally you get the best stuff by being lawful good). What's funny is I snapped Soego's neck in the Mortuary, then he's alive in the Dead Nations. Of course, that's actually a plot point. His, er, "explaination" was rather amusing. Hopefully, this time, I'll be able to join the anarchists. I think you have to be chaotic to join them, but using the Tome o' Cheats to change my alignment in previous games didn't seem to work. Maybe I have to do it "naturally", and make sure I'm chaotic before talking to the anarchist member in the Foundry instead of after finishing the anarchist missions that SHOULD enable you to join them. Supposedly, you can be an anarchist and be a member or one or more other factions simulataneously, something that's not possible "normally."

No. FF7 sucks. FF6 was infinitely superior in EVERY way. Except graphics, and but WHO CARES

i want to comment on that. Graphics are not what make a game or a platform. this is proven again and again by nintendo. but i did like FF7. never played 6 so i can't say which is better but i respect your judgment.

Actually I'd say even in graphics. It had a consistent, 2D style with great art direction that was awesome for its time.

FFVII was pretty inconsitent. Sometimes characters looked super-deformed, sometimes realistic. Characters and battles were low-poly, with the cut-scenes (prerendered and with nothing to do with actual gameplay) being the showcase and focus. Many a FFVII fanboy still drool over those scenes, for reasons unbeknownst to me.

I was playing earlier in the summer. I can't do anything with that 3D rollercoaster at the arcade place. Hard to coordinate a shot with the controller. After spending hours collecting credits from the arm wrestling game, I'm just burnt out.

Auto-fire controller > Arm wrestling game

the MIDI style music could be better, but there are good FF7 orchestrated scores.

FF8 eyes on me variations are good, so are some FF9 orchestrated/piano songs.

The creators wanted a comical approach to the characters
