When you have parties, do you "mix friend groups".. if yes, results?

If you throw a party, do you invite multiple groups of friends? (IE, high school, work, college, hobbies, etc)

If yes, have you ever had major problems because of that?
 
We can't get a semi-serious answer even once on ATOT eh? I guess thats what all you new members are all about... post count................

i happily mix friend groups at parties, always seems to go good 🙂

generally, i dont mix my groups of friends, since they seem to have somewhat opposing personalities, i.e. eccentric vs. laid back, drinking vs. non-drinking.
 
Depends on what kind of party. If it involves talking, no, as usually friends stick together, and they will form clusters with people they are familiar with. But if it doesn't invovle alot of talking, then its ok. For example, I would have no problem having two groups of friends play Bball with each other, but I wouldn't invite those two groups over to my house at the same time.
 
Being an active socialite and party-giver <ahem>. Well, having friends over who don't know each other well, it depends on several things. Mainly, you have to work with the ones that are a little distant and bring them into the group. Simply juxtaposing them isn't going to be enough typically. My only experience is with gaming groups, which are small (<10) and have something in common.
 
It's hard for me to get friends from different stages of my life together at once since I've moved alot. Still anytime a HS or childhood friend stops by... He/she usually fits right in.
