When you enable HDR in Windows 10 does it stay on for all videos ? Even if they don't have HDR?

I think HDR is used only in HDR enabled games, videos and photos

Fake HDR looks terrible on my TV so I'd actually hope it doesn't stay on all the time.

I think it should just work on the stuff that utilizes it (there's 3 toggle switches for Stream HDR videos, Play HDR games and apps, and Use WCG apps), but there's other aspects that could influence things. I tried a UHDTV as a monitor for a bit, and enabling HDR on Windows forced colorspace into 4:2:2 (or maybe even 4:2:0) which screwed up even desktop color profile.
