Saw the no seatbelt one with the guy who fell asleep at the wheel a while back here on ATOT.

My brother showed me the one with the bus.

Pretty scary stuff. I find it a natural habit to wear my seatbelt, and its uncomfortable if it is not on.

Only fat people and stupid rednecks don't wear seatbelts. To have any other excuse is just asinine. Why wouldn't you do EVERYTHING possible to reduce you chances of getting seriously injured?

that's pretty scary.

before I had my license, I almost never wore a seatbelt (unless my dad was driving, because he wouldn't even put the keys in the ignition until everyone had their seatbelts on).

since I started driving, though, I feel totally uncomfortable in a car without a seatbelt on, whether I'm the passenger or driver (unless I'm sitting bitch or something)

there's people who believe that you're more likely to get hurt with your belt on. sad but true.

DriveCam cature. We have them in all the ambulances. They are set off by G forces, some record front and back, all record sound, and they have reduced maint. costs significantly.

once my mom's friend got in a wreck and wasn't wearing a seat belt. she was thrown from the car to the grass and then the car got really messed up. if she would have had her seatbelt on she would have died. but seatbelts are good in most cases.

Isn't it interesting that these stories are always thirdhand?

For those in NY... a few buddies of mine were called on-scene yesterday to the Grand Central Parkway in the morning (Sunday). Apparently an Explorer was in the left lane and drifted to the right. He over-compensated back to the left and hit the median... witnesses claim he flipped over at least 15 times. There was brain matter all over the road - they said it looked like maggots. Half his head was gone. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
