When you create a partition in W2K setup, does it format all of them?

In W2K setup, it tells you (example) "you have one 20000mb partition" press xxxx to install on this partition, or yyyyyy to create a partition."

If I create, say a 10GB part. and install W2K on that, that leaves me w/another 10GB part. Does W2K format that other partion automatically? Thanks.

No it does not, it will ask you if you want to after you finish installing and you goto Windows explorer and try to look in the other partitions it'll prompt you then. Or it'll be unformatted if your dual booting for the other OS.

Or just right click the "drive" and select format.
