When you buy tuna in a can, is it in a paste form?

Er.. what?

"Chunk light" tuna comes in chunks, or pieces of tuna meat, packed in either water or in canola oil. "Solid white" tuna consists of larger pieces of tuna meat, also packed either in water or oil. In my opinion, although the solid white is more expensive, the chunk light tastes better.

(I am very afraid here.)

Do you have any grocery stores or supermarkets near you?

Step 1: Buy chunk light tuna.
Step 2: Open can.
Step 3: Drain can of oil/water.
Step 4: Take tuna out of can and put it into a bowl.
Step 5: Start to mix in mayonnaise with a fork, the tuna is very easy to break apart and the mayonnaise will make it look like it is in subway once you mix in the right amount.

Great.. Now I have this mental image in my head of "tuna paste", in a form that could be squeezed from a tube.

True, true.

Hey, does anyone know where I can get some "Tuna safe dolphin"?

Ok, ok, I'm sorry. It's late.

You got it right Astaroth33...but like everything else in this world, you got to pay more for quality. There has been a decline in the cheap tuna fish market. I usually pay more for the albacore or chunk light. I find it funny that I never liked the taste of tuna as a kid, but I love the stuff now.

I stopped eating tuna because of the mercury, but when I did, I liked it in paste form exclucively. You can do it with a fork and bowl and time, but I discovered, since I have am industrial strength ceramic mortar and pestle, that doing it in there makes for a real texture free paste. Yummy, too bad about the mercury.

I did a search for tuna paste on google just for the hell of it, and came up with this. That is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life. Tuna fish and jelly together? BARF!!!
