Well, mine does. But it's a Celeron 2.6 with 256 RAM (sold my 512 sticky).

I'm getting a new pc by christmas and I was wondering if you guys with the high end computers like A64 with 1 GB RAM or AXP 3200+ & 1 GB RAM ever have latency whilst burning on Nero 6.

What is the best way without NOT burning to reduce it?

what do you mean by lag? multitasking becomes slow? If thats whats happening, burn a disc and press ctrlaltdel and see how much memory is being used. It may be using alot of memory. Other than that, I can't think of anything because mine runs smooth as silk on A64 3000, 512mb ram

mine does the exact same thing, which is why i dont use nero anymore

XP Pro SP2, 400+m @ 2.4GHz, 1 gig of PC2700, all drives are in DMA mode

if i burn with nero my system lags, mp3s chop, browsing becomes impossiable, useing Roxio 7 i get none of thoes issues

What is the CPU usage during burning? Go into Task Manager and check.
