When XP comes OUT of hibernation, internet doesn't work

My XP/SP2 goes into sleep mode.
When I return, the internet connnection is "dead".
Sometimes, it "wakes up", by opening/closing IE, Outlook, AIM, etc
Other times, I simply hjave to reboot in order for the internet connection to come back/

Very annoying.
Any way to remedy this?

You could try going to the device manager > network adapters > power management tab > uncheck everything > apply

Actually, the 2nd time I tried. It was "Dead" and had to reboot.
I'll make a .BAT shortcut that does release/renew.
Thanks

You can also create a shortcut to your LAN card on the desktop > support tab (shows IP info) > repair

start -> run -> ipconfig /renew

this does the trick for me at work when my connection poops out after a standby/suspsend/hibernation
