When working, what is better

Hourly is better if the pay is equivalent to salary b/c on hourly you get paid for overtime. On salary you get "thanks for coming in".

Yup. If it's a job that you can hustle at and only requires you to be in the office 3-4 days a week, salary rules. If you are chained to the desk and reauired to be at work no matter what, hourly is the ticket.

If you work in a strip club or a bar you may want to try the "other" option. 😀

Part of the reason in taking a salaried position is that you're hoping to move up in the company which could mean more salary, fringe benefits, eligible for larger bonuses, etc.
