Tried to find why this is happening. Checked the startup menu and I've scoured the registry to find where it might be issuing the command to open explorer 3 times, but no joy.
Anyone know where to look or have any other ideas.
if u have win9x or ME, run msconfig and check ur startup. you should be able to disable it there. If u have WinNT/2K, then check ur services in admin tools.
Yeah, I did that but forgot to mention it. Sorry. Anyway I was able to work out why.
If i close windows with an open application such as explorer or even control panel it reopens with an additional window. When I close windows without any applications open it still reboot with 5 Explorer windows and 1 Control panel window.
Well it's down to IE6 BETA. I started getting problem with starting Explorer with pressing the wheel down on my Explorer mouse.
Well, not ready to install IE6 again for the time being. I'm currently doing a complete new install. Ahhhh fresh new clean no junk install of WinME. (Except Media Player 7 that is 😉)
