When will we be able to stream new movies to our PCs and TVs?

I went to see the Departed yesterday at theater A 4pm showing and it was closed temporarily due to water outage issues. I had to drive 20 miles to theater B to catch the movie at the 5:25pm showing. This pissed me off because

1. it screwed up my afternoon.
2. I did all that for a so-so movie.
3. it cost me more gas money, theater A is only 1 mile from my house.

When will hollywood studios allow box office movies to be streamed simultaneously as release dates? I would love to see that, not to mention, the movies should be cheaper too because you won't need to pay for the comfy theater.

I give it 5 to 10 years and streaming video and on demand video will be the mainstream.

Ask Mark Cuban. He's a BIG supporter of that kind of thing, and he's actually done it already with some movies that he's produced. Bubble and Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room were release in theaters and on HDNet on the same day.
