When will there be enough ddr4 memory in stock again ?

Anybody have an idea ?
I have a sad that the ram that i ordered is already a month out of stock and hopefully there will be new stock in the first or second week of februari. But nobody is sure.
Crucial memory based on samsung or micron dram ddr4 is all sold out.
While corsair vengeance is everywhere in stock.
The ballistix elite ddr4 3200 modules that i ordered does have much better specs, even on 1.2V standard spd settings.
And i really need the low profile model.

Not for awhile. When everyone switched to DDR4 there was basically a nod and wink between the manufacturers to avoid the over stock and stock dumping competition they have had in the past which resulted in memory prices bottoming out a couple times in DDR3's history. DDR4 was still doing fine for awhile because production was still outpacing demand with the PC and Laptop markets shifting and shrinking. But now you have mobile products competing with stock. When DDR5 is launched and sees wide adoption we might see prices dip down again and there is a chance they step up production but right now they probably feel its perfect, sell most chips right away, margin continuing to rise but overall there is enough memory for anybody who really wants some.

Actually, spot prices for DDR4 have decreased by 5%, however, no idea how long it will take for that to trickle down to consumers.

Demand is expected to fall around 30% as well... all this according to Reuters.

The same article also says that there won't be much relief for consumers in 2018, in ssd, yes, in dram market, not enough. 2019 is the year they say when prices will come at sane levels.

It's tough right now, and hard to say. Probably the best thing to do is set up an in-stock alert at various retailers.

When I wanted to add another 2 x 4GB kit of Ballistix Elite, they were out of stock on their website. I originally bought my first kit from Amazon, but they were out of stock as well. In fact, out of the reputable online retailers, only Newegg showed it in stock. When I placed my order, I must have bought the last one, because they went out of stock as well.

Well, i will adopt a positive attitude and hope that the memory will be in my possession around Februari.

Well, i once made this thread with the estimated guess that this might highly likely be the dram chip used on the ballistix elite module (512Mx8 single rank) : MT40A512M8RH-075E.
I can not know for sure since i never have had such a ballistix elite model.
But when looking at the specifications...

Well, i have to design the pcb first then and buying 360 chips @14.90 Dollars a piece is going to run in the numbers which will make my wallet wanna kill me. Designing is possible. At work we have cadence schematics and pcb with trace length matching and matching the impedance for the traces for the 1333MHz clock and data.
But... I will wait a few more weeks instead.

There is one fortunate scenario because of the delay in receiving the dram modules that i ordered.
When i finally receive it, ryzen2(zen+) will be coming out a month later.

I have already bought the AB350M motherboard from asrock. I just looked and there is not a bios update yet for ryzen 2.
I guess the bios updates will appear when ryzen 2 is available or released.
It seems that i will be getting the second generation ryzen just like i bought the second generation bulldozer(piledriver) many moons ago.
I would be better of to wait just a few weeks more.
