NV18 is the agp8x version of the NV17 which is the GF4 MX line of video cards
NV28 is the agp8x version of the NV25 which is the GF4 TI line of video cards
agp8x by itself is not a big deal and really isn't worth waiting for
I've seen a few NV18 based boards out but the NV28 is not out yet and i dunno if/when it will come out
but i would expect prices to be affected by it. atleast some sites claim prices will be dropped with NV28
but i wouldn't hold yur breath if you need a GF4 ti4200 get one now
they are a good deal
Late this year or early next you will see NV30 which will be the next big step for Nvidia's chips and replace the GF4 as their flagship
prices should otherwise hold steady till later this year from what i've heard
