When will the new EPOX 8K3A2 Motherboard be released?

I currently have the EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard and I have never had any problems with it and Microsoft Windows XP.

I want to purchase a AMD Athlon 2000 or greater CPU and use the 2700 DDR RAM, but I want USB 2.0 and Firewire built into the Motherboard.

The EPOX 8K3A2 Motherboard will have USB 2.0 and Firewire built in where the EPOX 8K3A+ Motherboard still has USB 1.1 and no Firewire.

I would like to know this same question, because I have been checking Newegg for the last couple months to see if they have it, and they still don't have it.

Anybody have a clue as to when it will be around?

thanx.

I'm in the same boat. Why not EMail Epox?

I just took my own advice and EMailed the company. Will let you know what I get. I asked for release date and differences in this board.

Looks like they are changing the name to 8K3A5.
Check out:
Amdmb.com Epox motherboards
Alliance For The Advancement Of The Overclocking Arts" > EPoX MotherBoards

In any event, looks like the Epox KT333 boards are one board to skip.
Don't get me wrong, Epox boards are the only boards I will buy.
But, the performance of the 8k3a+ is no better than the KT266A 8kha+, plus the old 8kha+ has some more features (except no Raid).
With the KT400 due out within weeks, it would be foolish to invest in a stop gap measure like KT333.
Wait a few weeks, and get a real board. The board KT333 should have been. One based on KT400.

Thanks for the links, although it was quite confusing to really figure out what's going on. Looks like a lot of folks are trying to figure it out.

I think the IWill XP333 looks great too. The 266 version scored quite well, but I cannot find a comparison to the Epox alpha/numeric/jumble boards.

What's this board supposed to offer that's better than the 8K3A? I'd like to find a motherboard with better onboard sound than the Cmedia 8738 chip; I heard that Realtek makes a good one; the 8738 still generates static when trying to play many sounds at once. (I have done a good bit of tweaking to get it so that it wouldn't make static with just 2 or 3 sounds at once; now it takes a few more to make static)

Sorry, nothing. I got a standard robo-mail saying I would get a response in 24 "business" hours so I should have heard something by now.
