its a long long way off.... I would expect prescott to be intel's desktop cpu all of 2004 .... prices arent even on the horizon yet.

It may even be more than a long way off - there is very little market for a Centrino in a Desktop - low power consumption is not really a desktop issue since they do not run on batteries. IMHO, the market probably does not justify the investment.

they are planning on bringing the pentium m to the desktop, but you wont see them till 2005 in there dual cpu core chips, or so the rumors go

The 1.5+ GHz versions are going to be hard to cool passively, unless you start playing with airtunnels and stuff.

It will be a .065 dual core chip, likely with more cache, much hihger clockspeed, and intels new Low-K technology. It will NOT be cool like the mobile versions of the chip.
