When will nForce be ready to purchase?

I'm going off to college August 19, maybe I postpone a system for a week.

Heres the question will nforce be ready to buy before August 26? I'm waiting for nforce because of its stability of integrated audio/ethernet.

Or should I just buy my stuff that I've already intended and enjoy it for the summer. If i wait the nforce will save me quite a bit of money.

BASICALLY, when will it hit shelves of stores or online retailers? (like newegg =)

i waiting for it and the desktop 4 also. i heard the desktop athalon 4 was pushed back unfortunately 🙁 it will be torture for me to have the nforce board out and not the desktop palminos, since i am on a p2-400 now

The earilest I have heard is fall, has anyone ever heard of new hardware or software for that matter comming out early! It may well be Christmas before reliable Mobos are available. (Just a guess on my part, I have no special knowledge!)

I'm going to get an Asus A7M266 right now (any other recommendations for a motherboard?) with a 1.4GHz cpu. If the nForce boards are good I'll probably swap boards in the Fall.

Ace's Hardware is reporting that the nForce based mobo's will be available at the end of August.

Asus also says they will have one by the end of September.

I'd recommend the EPOX EP-8K7A. Cheaper and OCs very well. I'd been told you cannot change the multiplier in the A7M266. Don't get me wrong, I love ASUS (have an A7V133 myself) but not being able to change the multiplier is a terrible idea IMHO.
