I thought they were released this week but ive yet to see them in the wild, any idea when they will be hitting places like newegg and amazon?
 
Been up for buy for weeks if not a whole month around in asia and europe.

But else officially the 29th as Don says.
 
Im doubting they will be easily obtained on launch day, but heres hoping. My son needs a new pc and we've been holding off for IB for a few months now.
 
I highly doubt MC will sell them for the same price as the 2500k. Makes no sense considering the 2500k is not being replaced. Yet. Might see them go for under $200 but not as cheap as the 2500k.

i5 3570K replaces i5 2500K. And the i5 3570K is cheaper in 1000units.
 
if they want people to replace their 2500's with 3570's. given that the performance isnt that much better, they have to make them cheaper. i guarantee within a month they will be $150 at mc
 
Last year i got my 2600k from Microcenter the Sunday they were released. I dont remember the exact price but I think they were at a discount. I think it was 20 to 30 buck cheaper than Newegg. At around midnight i was up so started checking the websites and Microcenter started updating their inventory. They didnt have a lot but i managed to buy it online and pick it up in the store when they opened.

This is the first time I'm buying at release date, so I'd like to know if newegg will have them by midnight tonight?

I have a i7 930 on an hp desktop and have been itching to switch since late last year. I'm buying the unlocked ivy bridge i5 and am just waiting until it pops up on newegg. I already have all my other components (case, mb, psu, gpu, win7, etc) so you can understand how eager I am to build it and be free from my trusty old locked hp.

Newegg had them at Midnight for the Sandy Bridge release so i imagine they will do the same for Ivy bridge.
 
Anyone try calling Microcenter to see how much their Ivory Bridge cpu will be? I just called but they were busy. I will try again in a little while.
