Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has been saying in recent interviews that he will provide a decrease in state income taxes for those within the $20,000-$200,000 salary range. This will help to compensate for the increase in the federal payroll taxes. He said that he will unveil further details in the budget address on February 20th. The income tax decrease will be funded by the $342 million dollar surplus resulting from his party's reforms. Does anyone know when Wisconsin's state budget will actually be enacted? Hard-working middle class taxpayers in Wisconsin would benefit greatly from receiving this tax reduction as soon as possible.

Let's see, first the Wisconsin State Legislature has to create and pass a bill...

Or are we hoping the entire state constitution is thrown out the window for your pleasure?

Wisconsin budgets run 2 years, from july to june. If the tax cut is going to be part of the budget, I would geuss, that your tax cut will start no sooner then july.

Contact the governors office and ask if you can wait for the speech.

Remember, that just because he proposes it does not mean the legislature will enact it.

Well, Wisconsin's legislative branch has Republican majorities in both chambers. If the tax cut doesn't happen the Republican party will have no one to blame but themselves.

Okay twinkletoes, my link showed that previous budget votes came end February. Your writing says Walker will give a speech Feb 20. You will likely know then what the future budget legislation will be.

I always find it funny when somebody makes a claim for me. My hero? In case you didnt already know. I live in MN. Where we have a special needs governor and dfl controlled state houses. I have my own problems.

Next (Maybe just a reelection promise) year after people forget the gas tax hike and car registration increases he wants to enact now.

The side that is against responsible government - tax the people for additional spending.

Given that the news the Ausm links to is an Democratic media source and it does not even fully check the facts; that he echo's such is no surprise.

Wisconsin nets 1300 jobs; that means the losses in the greater MKE area are being offset and employment is stil increasing throughout the state.

One does not create jobs with the snap of a finger unless they are union do nothing jobs. Business needs to plan and budget and determine a need to create additional jobs that are real, not just on paper or vaper no shows.

Good but that's about 240,000 short of Scooters campaign promise.
