When will be next CPU price cuts? Back to School ?

Hi.
I'm planing to buy Intel's CPU (i7) but thinking if they going to cut prices for Back to School season or later, any ideas ?

I7 920 is getting dropped, the lower price segmant of I7 is being replaced by the budget I5 platform. This will be happening around September.

If you live near a Microcenter they have the 920 for $199 pretty often.

If you can get an i7 D0 now, go for it. They should overclock much better than the upcoming i5's I suspect. A guaranteed D0 at a microcenter for that price is awesome. look for the code 'SLBEJ' on the box. That means D0.

SLBCH means C0.

Microcenter has the i7 for 229.99 usually, and only once has it been 199.99 on april fools. That would be your best place right now.

Here is no Microcenter in NY, where else can i get i7 920 "D0" stepping from internet ?

Thanks Mjic7, only www.antaresdigital.com got i7 920 D0 for $280(cheapest) but i guess they will charge sales TAX and shipping (aditional $40-50 ? ).

I guess INTEL isn't going cut prices any more for i7 CPU's.

It was $199 as recently as 05/23. Check out the hot deals section.

Can i go to Microcenter without online ordering and buy stuff?
In Long Island-Westbury they have shop.
Thay have the i7 for 229.99, i guess C0(maybe i can get lucky with D0), what else they have cheaper than NEWEGG ???
Motherboards are for same price.
