I spoke to a HP sales Rep at Compusa today and he knows nothing, although I wouldn't expect him to know much. He did give his opinion that they would slowly clearance out the old computers and replace them with newer ones. This makes sense on the Intels, but not the AMDs since HP already has AM2 machines for sale.
So does anyone have an intelligent idea on when these price cuts will reach retail machines.
They are still selling the a1540n (x2 4200, 2 gig etc) for the same $819 it sold for a few weeks ago. With the $150 price cut on the 4200 it should be selling for around $670, a good deal at that price.
