When will AGP vanish from new mobos?

Will I be able to buy a top of the line CPU in 6 months to 1 year and get a good AGP mobo with it?

Probably, but whether you can still find mid- to high-end GPUs for it is anyone's guess.

As long as there is a market they will still be made by some one. You can still get new boards that only have PCI, no AGP/PCIe ports to be found.
