Sounds like something I could work on. If I could identify an Asshat Gene (AG-1), I could then splice in some firefly DNA. That way, any person with an actively-expressed AG-1 would glow green and therefore be easy to identify and avoid breeding with. 😛

And Fausto - You live there, so you can either confirm or deny this, but maybe one of the reasons Atlanta is better (so I've been told by others who live there) is that noone in Atlanta is from Atlanta. 😛 My old girlfriend's family just moved down there from St. Louis, their neighbors are originally from another state, etc, etc.

MACON ? A teenager dressed as pizza mascot Chuck E. Cheese was pelted with pizza and threatened with a beating by an angry parent who said the mascot wasn't paying enough attention to her child.

Macon police reported that the 17-year-old female employee was dressed as the character ? a gray cartoon-like rodent with large front teeth ? when a 31-year-old Macon woman threw a piece of pizza at her Sunday afternoon.

The report stated that the mother then threatened to "whip" the girl when she changed out of costume.

No charges were filed in the incident, so the name of the mother and employee were not released by police.

Yeah....good idea. Kick Chuck's ass right in front of your kids. That won't scar them or anything. 😛

Uh...I don't know about "better" per se, but it's certainly different from the rest of GA for that reason. Honestly, I think as any city gets larger and larger, the local flavor gets obliterated. Atlanta may be "southern" relative to NYC but it's really not a very southern town in the grand scheme of things (like Savannah, for instance).

I lived in Georgia for nearly a decade. It's NOT a bad state. Once you get over the initial culture shock, you realize that the people there are mostly good folks.

Beats the hell out of the rude pricks in the Northwest, the fake prople of SoCal and the melancholy folks of the Midwest.
