When will there be SATA 3.0Gb/s 10k hard drives? Haha, I've been waiting for one to come out patiently, and not buying the 1.5Gb/s one, is there any plan of getting this type of drive out? Or nothing at all?

Why aren't you buying the 1.5gb's one (the raptor does not saturate teh 1.5gbs bus so there realy isint a need for a 3g one). I would suspect a 300gig (possibly hybrid) raptor will be out this year but thats based only on the fact that they double the size every couple of years and the 150's are getting reasonably priced (got mine from bestbuy for $120 when I bought a vista ultimate upgrade).

anyway, if you're the desperate, go with SCSI, otherwise, regardless of SATA150 and SATA300, the Raptor will still be immensely fast for your money.

it gets loud, it gets hot. and if your buck$ are on for speed, then I guess you are willing to take the RPM package conditions with you.

raptors are nice to have. it increases self esteem of a system build by the way. lol good luck.
