When was the P4 introduced?

October-November 2000 (around then). The Willamette (sp?) was released at clocks of 1.4ghz and 1.5 ghz while the T-bird was at 1.2ghz. I looked at the benches, and found that it was losing to T-bird in some cases, and winning in others...and I wondered, "what kind of architectural 'enhancement' is that?"

It may have been October 2000 (I'm sorry; I mentioned it was around November). Not 2001 though, because that was the year that was in existence just last month.

northwood is the new p4 that is availble now.

Ionizer86: I think you mean Willamette, not Northwood. Northwood is the new P4 core that has come out within the past month.
