I recently copied like 4 gigs of music to a dvd using nero backitup, now when i insert that dvd and open it , i see 2 large files (abt 2 gigs each) not all the songs. They are "nero backitup" documents. does this mean i can only open this dvd and copy those files back to my harddrive if im using nero? (and what would i do to recopy these to my harddrive?)
if so that sucks cause im using the trial version :(

yeah... it sucks.

i was dumb enough to use that thing by backing up my media files. i think it came out to about 15 DVDs. i restored them and on the 10th one, my copy was corrupted and it couldn't finish the process. :( IIRC, I could still access some of the files, except the ones that were split between DVDs, but they were renamed and it would have been a PITA renaming them one by one.

Yes because you ran nero backitup not nero burning.

Nero Express or Nero Burning would let you create a "data disc" that stores files individually so they can be read on any PC file-by-file.
