When trying to join a server in Q3A...

I get rejected I guess? It takes me back to the main menu. Does that mean my cd key is not valid? It says its valid in the beginning. Any help is appreciated. And also, where does a beginner go to play? I just installed Q3A after seeing my UT so frigging dope. I suck at UT, and Q3A so let me know where I can get to start off slow, and nice. Not getting fragged every single second. Thanks!

Is it on all servers? I know it does that on custom maps if you don't have that map and on some that limit the ping times will do that if your ping is to high.

dunno about your logon problem.. do you have a real copy? . I suck at UT, and Q3A so let me know where I can get to start off slow, and nice. I'd recommend playing it single player.. tournament mode.. choose one of the lower difficulty settings and practice.. beat the game, ratchet up a notch, repeat. I can beat it at hardcore, and well some levels at nightmare.

The bots are worthwhile opponents.. and the skills you master will allow you to do well in most any fps shooter. Its time well spent, when i go online for ut or q3a, i ussually do very well even on a lousy modem.

that does make a difference
also do you remember any error messages?
anything about 1000 something or another?
i used to get that alot when trying to join a game
