[Vader] Noooooooo [/Vader]

Luckily those missing peices are of Season 4 episodes which I already have downloaded, but still, I've been downloading this SEEDLESS torrent for over two weeks (had to restart it earlier today) and now it's finally good enough as done for me!

It's actually on a torrent site you need to register to use, when I first tried downloading it I saw I could get some pretty good peer speeds though so I kept it going and just hoped I could get it before Sept. 25th for the new season. :p

What purpose does Netlimiter serve?

oh, and yeah, that sucks when you sit on 99.9%. I once had a file that sat on 99.99% for 6 weeks! Just deleted it in the end :(

limits bandwidth. was more useful before azureus implemented their own bandwidth limiter, but its still very useful for other programs and a finely made app.

let this be a lesson to those who don't check the torrent before they download.

My god. If you're going to do it, at least have the decency to be discreet or not complain about it.

..I'm not complaining about it.. I guess I didn't get the point across that it's not a bad thing because it's four seasons of shows on the torrent and the missing parts are on season four episodes which I have already have seen, making the other three seasons I downloaded perfectly watchable. Hence the thread title "When .torrents stuck at 99.9% don't mean the end of the world.."

Yeah, had a buddy, who's fairly computer literate, who told me he was downloading a vid via torrent one time. Got to 99%, and it sat there, and sat there.........then it sat there some more. He finally checked to see who was seeding it, and found out it was the MPAA!! He immediately killed the download, but still ending up getting a letter from his isp, asking why the MPAA was asking about him. He called up the MPAA lawyer, and claimed innocense ("Gee, I didn't know that was illegal, this is the first time I've ever done anything like this!!"), and VERY luckily got off with a warning. He figures it was due to the fact that it was one file, and they wanted to put some fear of God into him.

The funny thing is that this guy claims that downloading stuff he's not supposed to have is somewhat of a thing for him. He doesn't do it so much to get the stuff he's downloading, but more to see how far he can go without getting caught. He laughs about it, and figures one of these days he's going to come home to the feds pulling all his computers and storage disks/media out of his house, in order to build a case against him!! ;)
