I heard from xbitlabs that

21st of June, 2004. i925X, i915P, i915G, Intel Pentium 4 processors in LGA775 packaging official launch, mainboards announcements, etc.

I am guessing during this time new mobos will release. What about the BTX Standard? and PCI-Express?

Will the new LGA775 suppot future next generation processor from Intel? Or only Prescott?

Thanks

It looks like the LGA775 chips are for the new processors and for future ones as well. I am not a big fan of these if what I read is true. It looks like the LGA775 processors will not have the pins, the pins will be part of the Zif socket according to: http://www.cooltechzone.com/reviews/cpu/itwbu64p_002.php

From what Intel has stated on their website the new motherboard and chipsets comming out will only be PCI-Express.

Interest times.
