I had an interview last Friday evening and the hiring manager requested I email my references directly to him so he can make the calls. I won't be able to reach my previous manager until Monday, so is sending a thank you as well as professional reference info Monday evening kind of late?

"Last Friday evening" is two nights ago, right?

I'd have those refs to the hiring manager as early on Monday as you can manage. I'm not sure what you need from your previous manager, but this is something that should have been prepared before the interview.

It's not like he was going to call over the weekend, but I'd expect the refs to be in my email on Monday morning if I were hiring.

This, this and this.

Yes, two days ago. I need to inform my previous boss that he should be expecting a call. Also, my previous company has a lame policy about not allowing managers to be professional references and the manager is limited to what he can say about me. I need to talk to him and check if it's ok if he can be my personal reference.
