When to install VIA 4in1?

I'm working on building a system with an Epox EP-8KTA+ (KT133) board. It's going to be running Windows 2000. I'm wondering if I should install the VIA 4in1 drivers before or after I install the video card drivers (the video card is a GeForce 2 MX). Thanks for any suggestions.

The Via drivers should be installed right after you complete the Win OS install before you do anything else. Also, you should just install the AGP and miniport routing drivers and use the native Win IDE BusMaster driver (it is as good if not better than the Via driver).

BadBrad is right, the best way is straight after the OS is installed so they are (VIA drivers) the first thing installed.

Ok, thanks for the info everybody. I thought I had read somewhere that it was best to install the video card drivers first because they would overwrite the VIA agp driver, but I guess I was wrong.

What about updating VIA drivers? Will I need to uninstall everything / do a clean install of Windows every time VIA updates the drivers?

No just install them (thats what I do) for updates ,I & some other Members only recommend you install them for the first time on a clean install of OS to get the least problems, once installed you can just install the newer version over them.
